4-Piece outdoor sectional

Liz and I just picked up a 4 piece outdoor sectional from Pottery Barn.

http://www.potterybarn.com/products/chatham-mahogany-sectional-cushion/?pkey=e|4-%2Bpiece%2Boutdoor%2Bsectional|10|best|0|viewall|24||1&cm_src=PRODUCTSEARCH||NoFacet-_-NoFacet-_-NoMerchRules-_-

Since it is a big item, we thought it would be great to ask all who are interested to let us know.  We’ll put the names in a hat and have a drawing.  Then, you have a week to pick up.

Sound like a good idea?  Yeah.  So send in your request – all must be in by July 4th.  We’ll pull the name out on the 5th.

Good luck!

Mary and Liz

August 9, 2012 - New Membership at the Farmington, CT Pottery Barn

Hello all -

I got a call last week from the Pottery Barn in Farmington – at the West Farm’s Mall.  They had several products that we picked up and distributed with more to come.

In particular, there will be rugs available in future – 5x8 and 8x10 generally.  Wool, Jute and Sisal.  Plus floor models of various summer displays.

Please let me know if you wish to be put on the list of products that are available at Pottery Barn so that I can check the “list” and make distribution easier for Liz and me.  We will attempt to take pictures so that you can view the rugs online.

By the way, Liz, who retired recently, has been volunteering for this program for the past year.  We alternate pick ups, sorting and distribution.  She has taken quite a load off. . . .  So thank you Liz.  We gratefully accept and appreciate all helping hands, as this program takes shape.

We continue to have our membership with the Pottery Barn in So. Windsor, but the Farmington store is much bigger and will provide more products.  The membership with the Farmington Potter Barn was a $250 expense, and we’re in.

In September, the insurance payment will be due and the registration for the Jeep.  Any donations that you can make will be greatly appreciated.

One of our members just donated a utility trailer – will pick up this weekend and do whatever maintenance that is necessary (lights, tires, registration etc.)  This will remain in CT so that it will be available for larger pick ups. And now I can have the one we’ve been using back in Vermont.   Thank you so much – Deb, Steve and Beth for thinking of us.

So, this week home depot

Char Broil brand gas grill Precision flame burner system – it’s a replacement part.

Home Depot is storing 12 foot plastic siding??? Not too sure what it is, but will pick up next week with utility trailer.

I’m hoping that there will be another Pottery Barn bonanza next week!!  So get those lists in, as my aim is to NOT store stuff here.  Will be bringing up bags of rags to Vermont this weekend for those of you who requested them.

It’s gratifying to see this project grow and continue to run smoothly and efficiently.  Thank you all who help in the many ways that you all do.  Tell friends and let’s add more to the mailing list.  Good on us all!

Many thanks, Mary and Liz

Time to Raise some Money

Well, it’s spring and June will soon be here, so it’s time to renew our annual fees.  Home Depot, $650 for sure and we’re still thinking about the Pottery Barn ($250).  And we need money for capital expenses – the truck.  That would be for insurance, registration, inspection, and gas.  So, dig deep and send what you can.  For those of you who have received products and those who will in future, we encourage you to give a bit each time you receive.  A dollar here – a dollar there.  It all adds up.

Make checks out to “Stewardship Project” and Send via post to:

Am attaching a picture of our donated Jeep!!  She’s a beauty and runs like a champ.  So, for your enjoyment, here are 3 pics of Liz and my day

When I got to Home Depot, one of the guys was throwing away, yes actually Throwing away! 2 pallet movers, (check out the back of the truck!) whatever they are called.  They have wheels and pick up a pallet and raise it up – move it around!  The coolest.  So, needless to say, but I’ll say it anyway, they went into the back of the truck.  Now I can move stuff without killing my back!!!

On to today’s delivery:

Got  a whole lot of sealers From Miracle Sealants Company

Grout sealer for walls, floors and counter tops (about 10 different kinds) - many are the same.  Cleaners and polishers and sealants.  Great for anyone putting in tile or if you have any natural stone that you want to clean and/or seal.  The site below shows their products, and we have almost all.
