Toilets

Two white new porcelain toilets available.

A person expressed interest, but still no word.  So there there for a first come first serve.

Stone Veneer

Have 3 boxes of “stone veneer” made from cement to look like stone??  Probably used in making a chimney.  2 boxes of straight ones and a box of corners.

Anyone need?

Pick Up Information and Update

We're in our third week and the pick ups at Home Depot have been going very smoothly.  Susan is the lady in charge of returns at Home Depot and along with her fellow workers, is vested in this project.  They are all so helpful and enthusiastic.

A few people have stepped up with hitches to help with the weekly pick ups.  And because I have "wish lists" I have been able to place most everything within 24 hours.  I will try to post weekly on this Blog site, so check it out from Wednesday on and if you haven't sent me your list, please do.  You'd be surprised at what comes up!

Laura has volunteered to update this blog for us!  Thank you.  Liz will share in the administration.  We're taking our time to get all the kinks worked out.

For those of you who will be doing the pick ups, the following is the procedure, although I'll go over this with each person who does the pick ups.

Susan at Home Depot :  860-745-1900 ext:463

Call Susan on Tuesday am and make arrangements for a day and time to pick up that suits you both.  Her hours are from 7am to 4PM

Drive to Healing Arts in Stafford Springs, hook up to the utility trailer.
I’ll have a bag on the trailer with tie downs, tarps, registration etc. in a water proof bag attached to the utility trailer
Hook up utility trailer

** a trick – I always crank the support wheel up as far as it can go (after I have hooked it up to my vehicle) and then wrap a bungee around the crank when in use.  Have had a situation when this became evident that it was the smart thing to do.)

Drive to the Enfield Home Depot - their back entrance is the driveway that goes between Costco and Town Fair Tires
Bear left at the end of this drive and go all the way over to the Home Depot freight docks
Facing the docks, their is a cement steps and Freight entrance on your Right
Enter via this side door
Susan is in that "Receiving" area, just ask for her -  she'll be looking for you
(Jackie is also a person in receiving and Chris is the guy with the fork lift)

Susan will guide you from there.  You will sign an inventory list - copy to Susan and copy for Healing Arts.
They will have the merchandise on a pallet and wrapped.
They put it on the trailer with a fork lift.  Loose merchandise can go into the trailer or in your vehicle. The utility trailer is big enough to hold 2 pallets.
Tie it down – Being The Queen of bungees, this part is very important.  So take your time and use the "net" over the top of it all - a great invention!
Drive to Healing Arts in Stafford Springs
Park the trailer  - in front of garage
Unhook and support it with the trailer support wheel - put bricks in front of the wheels
I’ll take care of it when I get there on Wednesday or Thursday
You can put "loose" stuff that might be in your truck next to the utility trailer.
There will be a couple of tarps in case of rain in the utility bag
Leave ties, inventory list and registration back in the bag

Go home and put your feet up!
And thank you so very much.

That should do it for now.  I'll send out another email routing you to this site.  Hopefully all those interested in this program will simply come to this Blog each week which should reduce the number of emails is send out if not eliminate them.  I know what a pain it is to get a ton of emails.  And remember, if you do not want to be on the newsletter list, simply let me know and I'll take your name off.

Again, thank you all so much for your contribution to this project.  You're the ones that make it work.

Warm Regards to All

Mary
